It is the policy of the Grant County Library that all equipment and/or machinery shall remain on the premises. No library items, such as computers, screens, or other equipment shall leave the library premises without prior authorization from the Library Director or Library Board
All patrons using library equipment within the library are responsible for maintaining the equipment during their time of use. No food or drink shall be used in the vicinity of electronic equipment. Any patron who damages library equipment may be held responsible for repairs or replacement. The Library Director and the Library Board retain the authority to ban anyone from using library equipment if harm to library property or any general misconduct within the library is noticed, recorded, or suspected.
If any event arises that library equipment/machinery must leave the premises, a deposit may be charged to the library patron. The deposit will be returned to the library patron once all items have been returned in satisfactory condition. A deposit for such borrowing shall be determined on a case-by-case basis by authorization of the Library Board or Library Director. No deposit shall exceed the amount of fifty dollars ($50.00) per item borrowed.
When library property exceeds the amount of five hundred dollars ($500.00); equipment/machinery or materials; the Library Board shall set forth appropriate action for recovery of the library property.
